The Department has decided to award the 2022 Undergraduate Department of Statistics Prize to Yash Nair for his superb coursework in the concentration and for an outstanding thesis.  Congratulations on your achievement, Yash!

The Undergraduate Department of Statistics Prize was founded in 2020.  It is given annually to the graduating senior concentrator who has the best overall performance (as indicated by coursework results and thesis) and who has contributed significantly to the department....

Five Hoopes Winners in the Statistics Department

Congratulations to the below concentrators (and their advisors) on receiving Hoopes Prizes for their outstanding theses!  This year, we are thrilled to have the following five winners in our Department:

2021 Dempster Prize awarded to Ambarish Chattopadhyay

The Department of Statistics is pleased to announce the 2021 Dempster Prize will be awarded to Ambarish Chattopadhyay for his paper (with Jose Zubizarreta) "On the implied weights of linear regression for causal inference".
