Tracy Ke is Promoted to Professor

Tracy Ke

We are delighted to announce the promotion of Tracy Ke to Professor in the Department of Statistics! 

Professor Ke is a leading statistician in high-dimensional statistics and text and network analysis. Through her work, she demonstrates a unique ability to develop statistical methodology that is broadly applicable across scientific disciplines and, at the same time, has rigorous theoretical guarantees. 

Professor Ke has received numerous awards, including the NSF CAREER Award, a Sloan Fellowship, the Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies (COPSS) Emerging Leader Award, the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) Peter Hall Early Career Prize, and the American Statistical Association’s Gottfried E. Noether Early Career Scholar Award. 

Widely recognized for her influential research, Professor Ke is also deeply valued by students who have taken her courses (e.g., Stat 131: Time Series & Prediction and Stat 236: Sparse Inference & Network and Text Analysis) or benefited from her dedicated mentoring. In addition, she has devoted significant time and support to our departmental committees and initiatives and to the broader statistical community.
