Professor Morgane Austern Receives NSF CAREER Award
The Department of Statistics would like to congratulate Assistant Professor Morgane Austern on receiving the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Faculty Early Career Development Program (CAREER) Award for her project on “Distributional Approximation for Sharp Finite Sample Bounds with Applications to Dependent Data and Complex Estimators.” According to NSF's website, the CAREER Award Program is one of the NSF's most prestigious awards and is awarded to "early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization." The CAREER Award will provide funding support for Professor Austern's research and educational initiatives for the next five years. Congratulations, Dr. Austern!
