Professor Lucas Janson Receives the Bernoulli Society New Researcher Award

The Department of Statistics is pleased to announce that Assistant Professor Lucas Janson received the 2023 Bernoulli Society New Researcher Award.  According to the Bernoulli Society's website, the award "recognizes the work of outstanding young researchers in the fields of Mathematical Statistics and Probability."  As a recipient of the New Researcher Award, Dr. Janson has been invited to give a talk at the International Statistical Institute's World Statistics Congress Conference to be held in Ottawa, Canada, July 15-20, 2023.  In 2019, Assistant Professor Subhabrata Sen received an honorable mention for this award.
