Professor Kosuke Imai Receives 2024 Guggenheim Fellow Award

The Department of Statistics is pleased to announce that Professor Kosuke Imai was selected to be a 2024 Guggenheim Fellow based on his "prior career achievement and exceptional promise" (source: "Announcing the 2024 Guggenheim Fellows").  The fellowship was given in part for Prof. Imai's project proposal entitled "Improving Statistical Methodology for Evaluating and Reducing Racial Disparities."  The 2024 cohort contains a diverse group of 188 fellows from across the arts, sciences, and humanities, who were chosen out of a pool of approximately 3,000 applicants.  Established in 1925 by Senator Simon Guggenheim, the program has awarded 19,000 fellowships since its founding.  Congratulations to Prof. Imai!
