Professor José Zubizarreta Receives American Statistical Association 2025 Health Policy Statistics Section Mid-Career Award

The Department of Statistics would like to congratulate Professor José Zubizarreta on his American Statistical Association 2025 Health Policy Statistics Section (HPSS) Mid-Career Award.  A Professor in the Department of Health Care Policy at Harvard Medical School and in the Department of Biostatistics at the Harvard School of Public Health, Dr. Zubizarreta is also an Affiliate Faculty in the Department of Statistics at FAS.  Professor Zubizarreta's work centers on developing statistical methods for causal inference in the areas of healthcare and public policy.  According to the American Statistical Association's website, this award is given to "leaders in health care policy and health services research who have made outstanding contributions through methodological or applied work" and "show a promise of continued excellence at the frontier of statistical practice that advances the aims of HPSS."  Congratulations to Professor Zubizarreta!
