Want to read and discuss books about data science and society this summer? Then you should consider joining our Summer 2022 Data Book Club, sponsored by the Harvard Data Science Initiative. The book club is open to Harvard students (both undergraduate and graduate), faculty, and staff and will meet on Thursdays, starting on June 9th and ending on August 4th (we will announce a time soon). Over the course of the summer, we will read and discuss two non-technical books related to data and society. The first book will be "The Alignment Problem" by Brian Christian and the second book will be selected by the group. We hope to buy books for student participants.
If you are potentially interested, please reach out to Prof. Kelly McConville. We hope you will read and talk about data with us this summer!
