Emma Finn and Samuel Hwang Receive 2026 Department of Statistics Concurrent Master's Prize

The Department of Statistics is thrilled to announce that Emma Finn and Samuel Hwang are the recipients of the 2026 Department of Statistics Concurrent Master's Prize!  In addition to their A.M. in Statistics, Emma will graduate with an A.B. in Mathematics and Classics, and Samuel will graduate with an A.B. in Statistics and Computer Science.

During the Statistics Department Commencement Celebration on May 28th, Emma and Samuel will receive their award certificates to acknowledge their accomplishments.  Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, Emma and Samuel!

About the Concurrent Master’s Prize:

This prize is awarded annually to graduating students who have completed the Concurrent Master's program in Statistics with the best overall performance in their coursework, demonstrated achievements in Statistics outside of coursework, and contributed significantly to the department.  You can also read about the prize on the FAS Prize Office website.
