2022-2023 Dempster Prize is Awarded to Yicong Jiang

The Department of Statistics is pleased to announce the 2022-2023 Dempster Prize has been awarded to Yicong Jiang for his paper co-authored with Professor Tracy Ke, "Semi-Supervised Community Detection via Structural Similarity Metrics."  The Dempster Prize is named in honor of Emeritus Professor Arthur P. Dempster and is given annually to a graduate student in recognition of their research.   We are very grateful to all of our graduate students who took part in the competition.
