Data Adventure Day Held at the Harvard University Science Center

The Harvard Department of Statistics, Department of Biostatistics, and the Harvard Data Science Initiative are sponsoring Data Adventure Day held at the Harvard University Science Center on Friday, October 20th from 11:00am to 2:15pm.
This event is designed to expose high school students to statistics and data science through hands-on activities and interactions with Harvard students, faculty, and staff. Our event celebrates the contributions of statisticians and data scientists from underrepresented groups, including women and people of color, and supports efforts to enhance diversity and inclusion in these fields.
The schedule for visiting high school classes and their teachers will include:
- 11:00-11:15: Registration and Arrival
- 11:15-11:30 Welcome
- 11:30-12:10 Lunch
- 12:20-12:45 Stats/Data Science Activity 1
- 12:50-1:15 Stats/Data Science Activity 2
- 1:30-2:00 College Panel
- 2:00-2:15 Closing and Prizes
