The Department of Statistics is thrilled to share that Dr. Lucas Janson has been promoted to Associate Professor in the department. Professor Janson's promotion by the Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences is in recognition of his outstanding scholarship, teaching, mentoring, citizenship, and contributions to the department. In his research, Professor Janson focuses on high dimensional inference and reinforcement learning. Earlier this year, Professor Janson also received the 2023 Bernoulli Society New Researcher Award for exceptional young researchers in the fields of mathematical statistics and probability. Congratulations to Professor Janson on his promotion!
