What we do:
- Organize events for graduate students and faculty in the department. In particular, we host weekly social hours and a departmental PhD retreat.
- Support PhD students. We provide student feedback to the department through a student liaison who acts as a confidential resource for students to give feedback to the department and also via the graduate student survey. We also organize the department mentoring program for first year students.
- Produce a monthly newsletter to inform students of departmental events and news, upcoming conferences, job openings, deadlines, etc.
