Professor Susan Murphy was selected by the American Statistical Association's Boston Chapter as the recipient of the 2024 Mosteller Statistician of the Year Award. The award was named after Professor Fred Mosteller, one of the founding members of our department. Every year the Boston Chapter presents the Statistician of the Year award to a distinguished statistician who has made exceptional contributions to the field of statistics and has shown outstanding service to the statistics community. A celebration event will be held at Harvard on April 12, where Professor Murphy will give a talk and receive the award.
