Assistant Professor Tracy Ke will receive the 2020 Noether Junior Award from the American Statistical Association.
The ASA writes about this award, “The Noether Young Scholar is selected based on significant accomplishments in nonparametric statistics, interpreted broadly to include theory, methodology, and outstanding applications. Eligibility for this award is for those who obtained their PhD degree or an equivalent degree in the past six years.”
Department Chair Neil Shephard is delighted that our College Fellow, Dr. Alexander Young, has accepted our Undergraduate Advisor and Lecturer position, starting from 1 March 2020. Alex ran a very successful undergraduate course on dimension reduction in the Fall 2019 semester, as well as a seminar for senior thesis writers.
