His major fields of research have been in large Sample Theory, Optimal Design of Experiments, Sequential Analysis, and Sequential Design of Experiments. In recent years he has worked on a series of statistical issues in Molecular Biology. He is the co-author, with Lincoln Moses, of a text book, now a Dover Reprint, entitled "Elementary Decision Theory."
