Job Opening: Lecturer on Statistics

The Department of Statistics seeks applications for a Lecturer appointment in any area of statistics. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2023. The lecturer will be expected to teach four undergraduate-level courses annually, supervise senior theses, advise students at the undergraduate level, and participate in pedagogical and curricular discussions related to the undergraduate statistics program. The position is for three years, with the second two years contingent on a satisfactory performance review during the first year.

After graduating from Harvard with an A.B. in Statistics in 2013, alumna Michele Zemplenyi had a plethora of career options to consider. Dr. Zemplenyi was not only a statistics concentrator but also completed premed requirements and a thesis in conjunction with the Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology Department. Choice is great, but it can also be intimidating (as our senior concentrators probably know!).
