Harvard Statistics Assistant Professor Tracy Ke co-led the New Advances in Statistics and Data Science conference from May 24-26 in Hawaii (a delightful location for the conference!) with Assistant Professor Weichen Wang of the University of Hong Kong. This 3-day conference focused on the new challenges that we face in the big data era. These challenges call for novel interdisciplinary research combining statistics, machine learning, econometrics, computer science, and biology. Through a series of engaging talks and poster presentations, leading researchers offered new perspectives and methodologies to address major challenges in the 21st century of Data Science.
