#  Professor Xihong Lin Receives the National Cancer Institute's Outstanding Investigator Award

The Department of Statistics is thrilled to share that [Dr. Xihong Lin](/people/xihong-lin), Professor of Statistics at Harvard FAS and Professor of Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, received the [National Cancer Institute's Outstanding Investigator Award](https://www.cancer.gov/grants-training/grants-funding/funding-opportunities/oia/award-recipients)! According to the National Cancer Institute's website, this grant "supports accomplished leaders in cancer research, who are providing significant contributions toward understanding cancer and developing applications that may lead to a breakthrough in biomedical, behavioral, or clinical cancer research." Dr. Lin originally received this award from 2015-2022, which will now be renewed from 2022-2029.
