#  New colleague: Xiaole (Shirley) Liu

 The Department welcomes [Xiaole (Shirley) Liu](http://liulab.dfci.harvard.edu/) as a Professor of Statistics. Shirley is Professor of Biostatistics and Computational Biology, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She focuses on developing algorithms to harness massive datasets generated by micro arrays and massively parallel sequencing to learn about genetics and drug response and resistance. For many years she has taught Stat115 for our Department.
