#  Jun Liu wins ICSA Pao-Lu Hsu Award

 We congratulate [Jun Liu](/people/jun-s-liu) on receiving this prestigious award, given by the [International Chinese Statistical Association](http://www.math.sjtu.edu.cn/conference/2016icsa/content.aspx?info_lb=37&flag=0) only once every three years. The citation reads, "For fundamental and pioneering contributions to Monte Carlo methods and Bayesian computation; for successful development of the Gibbs motif sampler for understanding gene regulation; for highly influential contribution in reconstruction of haplotypes from single nucleotide polymorphism data and the inference of epistatic interaction; and for the advancement of statistics in China".
