Congratulations Professor Laird: awarded 2021 International Prize in Statistics

The 2021 International Prize in Statistics, has been awarded to our colleague Nan Laird, Professor of Biostatistics (Emerita) at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health for her work on powerful methods that have made possible the analysis of complex longitudinal studies.

Professor Laird received her Ph.D. from our Department in 1975, under the supervision of Arthur P. Dempster. An interview with Professor Laird, looking back at her career, is given in https://arxiv.org/pdf/1512.03533.pdf .

The first International Prize was awarded in 2017 to D.R. Cox, the 2019 version went to Brad Efron.
