 

#  Leo Vanciu Awarded 2026 Department of Statistics Senior Concentrator Prize

The Department of Statistics is pleased to announce that **Leo Vanciu is the recipient of the 2026 Department of Statistics Senior Concentrator Prize**! Leo, who is graduating with an A.B. in Statistics and Mathematics and a concurrent A.M. in Statistics, was selected based on the high quality of his coursework and thesis.

A certificate for this award will be presented to Leo at our May 28th Commencement Celebration. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, Leo!

## About the Senior Concentrator Prize:

The Department of Statistics Senior Concentrator Prize (originally named the Department of Statistics Undergraduate Prize) was founded in 2020. It is given annually to the graduating senior concentrator who has the best overall performance (as indicated by coursework results and thesis) and has contributed significantly to the department. Eligible students will be considered without application.
