The Department of Statistics would like to congratulate[ Assistant Professor Morgane Austern](https://statistics.fas.harvard.edu/people/morgane-austern) on being selected as a[ 2026 Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow in Mathematics](https://sloan.org/fellowships/2026-Fellows). This is an enormous achievement, as the fellowship was awarded to 126 individuals across seven disciplines. Only a small number of recipients were recognized in mathematics. Congratulations, Prof. Austern!
