The Department of Statistics is excited to share that [Affiliate Faculty Luke W. Miratrix](https://www.gse.harvard.edu/directory/faculty/luke-miratrix) has been promoted to Professor of Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE)! This promotion recognizes Professor Miratrix’s pioneering contributions to statistical inference and its applications in educational research. Through his work leading the [C.A.R.E.S.](https://cares.gse.harvard.edu/) (Causality, Applications, and Research in Education and Statistics) Lab, he has tackled pressing issues related to education, criminal justice reform, and workplace health and safety.
